PK-74 Rajawali Guindandra

After an intensive hours spent with 130 people for 6days++ in one place, I don't know how I can express my appreciation for these people: Rajawali Guinandra, batch 74th of the awardee of Endowment Fund for Education.

For my beloved publication and documentation team,
I AM BEYOND PROUD of being part of the team. Thank you for spending laughter and tears while trying so hard to finish the assignments given by Tim PK. I wouldn't have survived by sleeping only 1 hours everyday if I didn't enjoy spending time with all of you. Perfect team work. See you all on top!

For my group, Kasuari Papua.
Thank you for accepting me. It's so sad realising that I didn't spend much time with all of you and sorry that I couldn't help 100% in the assignments but above all, we have a great team work and bonds. I hope I can get to know all of you better in the future. Sorry if there are any mistakes I have done but believe me, it was unintended. You are all great people with bright future. I am so happy to know all of you :)

And for my batch, Rajawali Guindandra,
We all came from different background and point of view yet we are able to walk together as a team successfully. Thank you for the time well spent. Good luck with whatever comes ahead and keep in touch with each other. Go confidently in the direction of your dream!

"Goodbyes are simply means I'll miss you until we meet again"

Cheers,

Tissa

Everyone is each other's helping hand

People use public transportation because they want to avoid congestion. Myself also would prefer to use public transportation, such as commuter line, because I don't want to stuck in traffic which can waste both my time and my money (because you need to pay TOLL fee and fuel). However, choosing public transportation is more than that. While doing so, you also have a chance to observe your surroundings, interact with strangers, and manage your tense.

While you are using your private transportation on your own, your goal is to be able to reach your destination as fast as you can. When other car/motorcycle slows you down or disturb your journey, you just honk the horn and done. Can you ever imagine what would possibly happen if all of them honk their horn? Chaos.

Thus, using public transportation would make you calm. At least, you won't get so stressed out because of the congestion that you'll be facing.

I really love using commuter line for the past year. I am able to reach my destination faster and cheaper. The best thing is I don't have to drive it on my own so I won't get too tired after having a full day activities! I also get to observe my surroundings and also people.

Today I also use commuter line to accommodate me to reach my destination(s). I travelled for 2 hours and more. On the way, I met a variety of people with different characteristics.

In the morning, an empty and peaceful train, suddenly felt chaotic after a group of adults rushed in because they don't want to stand up for the rest of their journey. Well, what's so pitiful is that they disturbed the other passenger that were already sat down before. What I am trying to say here is that if you are using public transportation, please be gentle. I mean, it's for public. Do not make it like it's yours and disturb the other passenger.

I also once saw an elder didn't have a seat. Meanwhile, the young-adults who are already seated were pretending that they fell asleep. Geez. Then, an elder with a handful of luggage needed a helping hand from afar yet no one concern about her. Pity. Reasons that people do not help each other are because they can't help, they do not know, or they pretend that they do not know. The ugly truth, some of our society do this. Well, I am not perfect too. Sometimes because I am so tired I wish that the elders find another seat. However, if they are nearby and haven't been seated, I would sacrifice my seat for them. Maybe I am tired, but the elders' condition are far less than mine.

Helping others will make yourself happier, believe me.
Someday, you'll need them too.
Do not expect someone to help you if you do not like to help others.
Vice versa.

Oh, Cats.

This is the right time for me to wish for a time machine.

The problem is I accidentally killed 2 kittens. I found 4 of them this morning. They are so cute and playful. It was rainy and they hid themselves under the car to find a warmer spot. However, at night, when I went to pick up my brother, 2 of them killed because of me. I didn't realise that they were under the car! Usually when I turned up the engine, they ran away. But they did not. And that's why they were killed. And that's why I want a time machine.

I really love cats. They are the most affectionate creature I've ever found. I used to have 3 cats when I was in Junior High School. One of them named Lady. One day she went missing for 3 days. I already gave up on her. However, when I was watching TV, she came back! She came to me and gave me a dragonfly. I didn't know at that time what was that all about. But then I googled for the action that my cat did to me and found that they are usually do that when they want to say thank you for taking care of them. HOW CUTE IS THAT.

OK. This writing is just about my chatter about cats because I am sooooooo sad right now. Please, tell your cats to stay away from cars.

Willingness

"If I need the moon, I'll bring it down myself"

Those words popped up on my laptop screen when I played "What does Wiki says about you?". It said that I am an independent woman.

Well, I think there are times when I am not independent though
I am still in need of other's opinion but I won't let them in charge of my decision
I need someone to encourage me but I won't let them bring down the best of me

There is nothing more powerful than your willingness in doing something. The simplest example is that when you are willing to get up early, then it is going to be easy for you to become a morning person.

The hardest thing is something that you do not put your effort on it. It is also depend on how important it is for you. If something is important, you will eventually find a way. Otherwise, you will find an excuse.

Furthermore, it is important to struggle by yourself because you'll know how much it worth for you.
It's not that you can't work with your team, but what I meant is that when you are faced with responsibilities, work for it. If you're faced with risks, deal with it.

Fudgy Ovomaltine Chocolate Brownies

Hi!

Right now I am not going to post any "NIGHT TALKS" (not because it's not evening yet). The thing is, I love to cook and bake. Actually I had been wanting to post my recipe here on my blog, but I always forgot it. Haha. Pardon me.

I always bake when I feel sad or bored. It's more of like a comforting activity for me. Well, finishing 'em up is another business. Since I can't bear myself from eating when there are foods. Literally. I think that's why I keep on gaining weight :(

OK. Next.

My fav baked goods that I REALLY love to bake is..... BROWNIES!
I have tried several kinds: original, red velvet, green tea, and Nutella. To be honest, it didn't turn out well on Nutella so I shouldn't count it in. LOL. At least, I've tried!

Because I really love brownies and like to experiment with new flavours. I decided to work with Ovomaltine this time.

Here are the ingredients you'll need:
120 gr all purpose flour
3 eggs
200 gr unsalted butter
200 gr dark cooking chocolate
150 gr sugar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Ovomaltine, refrigerated

First thing you should do if you're baking is that you have to pre-heat your oven first on 170 degrees celsius. If you don't have a temperature indicator, just turn it on medium heat.

In a saucepan, put in your chopped dark cooking chocolate, put it on your stove with medium heat and wait until it is slightly melted. Do not forget to chop your chocolate thinly so that they can melt faster. After that put in the butter, stir it well until blended. After that you can add the salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs lightly. Do not do it the hard way because it might produce bubbles, which won't turn out well on your brownies later on. Your brownies would have some empty spaces inside. Of course, it is based on my experience. If you have any theories, you are welcome to share.

Add the flour and sugar. I am a type of person who want to do it efficiently and fast. I combined the flour and sugar altogether. However, if you add the flour first then the sugar, it won't be a big problem. Mix it well.

After that you can add the chocolate mixture into the large bowl and mix it well. If you have any tips to keep yourself from eating the batter, please do share it with me. It is not a fault though.

Prepare your 20x20x10 cm baking pan covered with baking sheets. I don't like to spread butter on my baking pan and I don't have any reason for that. I'm just lazy. Haha.

Pour 2/3 of the batter into your baking pan and spread it evenly. Then spread the Ovomaltine (don't forget to refrigerated it first!) on the top of the batter. I don't put an exact measurement of how much Ovomaltine you can add. It is really up to you. If you really want to taste the Ovomaltine, put 2/3 jar of it. I feel like if you put in the whole jar, it's going to be too much, I guess. I put 1/2 jar of Ovomaltine. Um, it would be approximately 190 gr.

After you spread the Ovomaltine, you can add the rest 1/3 of the batter again. Spread evenly.

Theoretically, you must bake it within 45 minutes. However, sometimes when you have different oven, the outcome might also different. You know. Specifications. My tips is, just constantly checking them. Put in your toothpick then if it comes out clean, with a little crumbles, then you're done baking. Do not wait until your brownies is completely cooked because it would taste AWFUL. It would be bitter, dense, and burnt. Ugh.

Do not eat your brownies or take it out from the baking pan right after!! Attention!

Chill it down first on room temperature. Be patient. By doing this way, it would bake the brownies completely without getting them burnt. Trust me.

Then.... there you go! Beware for the sugar rush!

You got the melted Ovomaltine inside yet you still can taste the crunchiness. Yum!
It is perfect. I can't get enough of this. Srsly.

Failure

It's 1 AM and I am barely close my eyes. I know that I am tired but something uneasy fed up my mind. Frankly I just noticed that all of my posts are all "night talks". Well maybe that's when I want to write. When I have done all my activities during the day, and flashback on what I've learned from them. And now I want to write down what has been bothering me for the past... Um.. 5 hours?

Today is a big day for me. The day when a decision is made of whether I can 100% be guaranteed to live my dream. Eventually, something didn't go quite well. Failure. That's it.

The journey in order to succeed, I must say, wasn't easy. I tried my very best so that I could achieve better. People always plan as if things would go the way they want. At least, I do. Unfortunately, no they don't. That's the ugly truth and it happened to me today. I wish I could turn back time.

I know that failure won't stop me from trying. To become someone I want to be in the future. But you all know there has to be an after effect after failing right? The time when you feel incapable, under-qualified, etc. However, the point is that how you can get up and do it again. Actually, that is my life-goal, to be able to do anything that people say you can't do it.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. For me, right now, failing is going to trigger you to try again but this time do it intelligently. I learnt from my mistakes and I am confident enough to go on.

Night.

Money Can't (Always) Buy Happiness

I bet you all familiar with the statement that "money can't buy happiness". I used to disagree with it because I feel like money is everything. I can buy anything I want which will lead me to joy and pleasure. Thus, I am counter-attacking with the statement that "the one who says that money can't buy happiness clearly doesn't know where to shop". LOL.

In some part, money surely can buy happiness. For instance, I am always wanting to buy new lipstick whereas I know that I've had enough. What has been keeping me from buying is money. I might have my own savings but it's just not worth to spend it on things you don't really need. To be honest, I prefer to spend it on delicious meals rather than on some high-end cosmetics. Ha!

But then something has changed my point of view. I found that no matter how much money you have, you still can't buy all of the happiness. You have been working so hard so that your boss gives you an extra money, but you have no time having fun? You are making good money in the beginning but you always stressed out while working because you hate your job that much? In those conditions, I would give up my money.

I don't say that money absolutely can't buy happiness because some people find that money is their happiness. It just depends on how each person interprets it right? I'm saying this because I found some people don't care how they hate their job as long as they're making good income. Because like I said before, money can buy you anything. Maybe you can buy your parents things they have been longing for ages and to see them happy is your happiness. So, I'm writing this based on my own judgement and experience.

As long as it makes you happy, do it.
